My impressions: Koda
In Koda we first met an art teacher of the local school Arusya Aramaisvna Darisheva, who participated in the ToT in Tetritskaro region. She was very excited to tell us about the ToT where they learned a lot of new things. She said: “ToT gave us a lot; we met new people from different nationalities. We spoke in several languages in one room and we could understand each other. The ToT inspired us to our further work, gave us new feelings and new ideas which we will use in our daily work with children”. She also expressed the wish to have more excursions and fieldworks in the future.
There were 26 children in the classroom who have different ethnic backgrounds such as Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian and even German and Greece. They conduct the trainings in Georgian and Russian and study in different schools of the region.
As Rima Kirakosyan said: “The main thing is that here, during this project, we met each other and got so many new friends. We also learned a lot and have seen new things.” Gayane Abramyan continued: “The best were the excursions, especially the one in Kutaisi”. The whole group expressed the wish to spend more time in the nature and to do fieldwork. They really enjoy waste collections and activities connected with the nature protection.
We were so positively impressed with this group that they made us play games with them and we also enjoyed their training of the day. Afterwards the trainer Vano confirmed that despite the group is big, it is still very active and creative. They understand each other well, the Azerbaijani speak Armenian and vice versa: They really enjoy spending time together and working towards the same goal.
