Two days workshop in Yerevan

On December 21st and 22nd within the framework of the “Green School” project the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) organized with the support of Coca-Cola foundation an environmental workshop. The core aim of “Green School” project is to create active and productive network of “Green Schools” in Armenia and to unite 1000s of young people to protect the environment and nature.

The participants of workshop were teachers of secondary schools, the coordinators of SOS Culture youth clubs and the coordinators of other projects’ implemented by the FPWC. Almost all the participants were ecologists.

The training was conducted by experienced specialists. The main topics of training were climate change and its causes, greenhouse effect, RA water resources, water supplies, legal and economical issues of water resource management. Their correct and effective types of usage were also mentioned during the seminar as well as other global environmental problems were discussed.

The two days training was held using modern teaching methods: interesting games, film watching, and discussions. At the end of the training all the participants received certificates as well as gained knowledge about the mentioned topics. They expressed their appreciation concerning the project and mentioned that the discussed topics had become serious global issues.
