29.08.2012 12:34

Amalia Hakobyan - Yerevan Zoo Eco club member, 17 years old: “I have seen people practicing yoga and it is very interesting for me. From that perspective yoga was new for me. After hiking tours when we were tired, yoga recharged us, so we could be ready for the long trips and courses. I am impressed by the experience SOS Culture Summer Camp gave to me.   For example, I have answers to many questions regarding photo and video art and journalism. It was also very important to meet young people who live in the regions”.

Arevik Sokhakyan - member of Akhtala SOS Culture youth club, 16 years old: “During these seven days we learnt a lot. We had courses on photo and video art, journalism. We had lessons on photo and video before, but here we also add journalism. The days we spend here are very interesting and there is no wish to be back home”.

Arthur Aslikyan - member of Berdavan SOS Culture youth club said, 16 years old: “It was very interesting to be here during these days, meet new people and share the same daily life. By knowing each other we became very good friends. I liked the video art course and everything that is connected with it; editing, directing, filming. Within few days we visited many cultural-historical sites and it is very sad that most of them are abandoned. But the aim of this project is to preserve them. We, young people, are trying to be helpful by cleaning the area and taking care of them”.

Mariam Yevdokimova – participant from Yerevan, 15 years old: "Photography is my hobby and after acquiring new knowledge I am sure I will continue with photography. Excursions were very interesting. I have always been afraid to go to different places for hiking or climbing, but during the camp I could overcome this fear. As for the preservation of cultural monuments, then I will share my impressions with my friends and give them advice to take care and preserve”.
