SOS Culture youth club members participated in another delicious festival. This time the festival took place in the beautiful city Akhtala and was devoted to one of the Armenian’s most appreciated dishes - barbecue.  During the festival a very nice rock concert took place and several dance troupes also had performances.

The SOS Culture project implemented by the Foundation for Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets also took part at the event as an organization which is very active in Akhtala. The children as usual had prepared to the festival with love and sense of responsibility. It was very nice to see how forty children arrived from different communities build one team and decorate the tent for the festival - putting next to each other their handmade works and different booklets and postcards. The children of Akhtala youth club were the happiest as they hosted their friends from other youth clubs on that day. They helped others in organizing and getting ready for the festival with a feeling of deepest responsibility, and afterwards they walked in town and showed the marvelous monastery of Akhtala. Also they were inviting their local friends to our SOS Culture booth and showed the handmade works and booklets, at the same time introducing them our project.

Another cheerful, adventurous and delicious day became memorable for the participants of the SOS Culture project, which helped the children to recognize the cultural assets of the neighboring communities, trying to raise awareness about them. Moreover, they were together and were trying to realize a good team work, have fun, tell stories to each other, and share some facts from the previous lessons and their film making. Some people watching them from aside really admired them and tried to somehow support them in learning more and becoming a worth citizens of their nation who would contribute in making the community to a better one. For us this was another good chance to make our project visible in Akhtala and whole Armenia - trying to find new people who would support and be interested in our project.
