For the second time the Shamshadin honey and berry festival will take place in the town of Berd found in the Tavush region on August 18th. The objectives are to stimulate the realization of the projects planned for the region, accentuate the importance of Shamshadin as the center in producing honey and berries, as well as promote the development of tourism and infrastructure in local communities. The first time the festival took place was in 2012 and was a great success, which served as a basis for further festivals, and the promotion and the development of the region.

This year the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets with its SOS Culture project will participate in the festival, as it also has a contribution in Shamshadin's development, mainly with its SOS Culture club in Varagavan community, which implements various projects in developing local youth, protecting cultural assets and increasing their recognizability among locals and tourists. The youth club children have already started to prepare and want to participate positively at the most delicious festival of the year.

The SOS Culture team will first help the organizers at the event taking place on Northern Avenue, on August 15th, during which the public through the help of booklets and other materials will be told about the festival.

Well, let’s all go to Shamshadin to participate in the sweetest and tastiest festival of the year!
