On May 31 an amazing Photo Contest took place in Koda in the Region of Qvemo Kartli, Georgia. The photo competition and the exhibition was organised within the frame of EU funded SOS Culture project. The event was prepared by the dvv international Georgia Country Office which is the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V., DVV).

Youth club members from Bolnisi, Koda, Shaumiani and Dmanisi took part in the photo contest. In total, there were 308 photographs from 4 youth club members which were exhibited on the walls of the Koda Community Education Centre.The big room was full of nice photos and classical live music by a string quartet which played songs from different Caucasian countries and cultures.

Giorgi Jikia, Project Coordinator for Georgia thanked the participants and guests for coming and announced the winners. Among guests were Lali Santeladze-Country Director of dvv international, Oliver Reisner - EU Delegation to Georgia, representatives of FPWC and all youth club coordinators. The guests handed over the prizes to all award recipients and congratulated them with short speeches.

SOS Culture project manager Agnesa Karapetyan expressed the wish to take this very special temporary exhibition to Armenia and make a touring exhibition in the Armenian Youth clubs.
