SOS Culture also participated in the Award Ceremony
On March 11th Alaverdi and Akhtala SOS Culture youth club members participated in the Award Ceremony of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Asset, where the results of the 5th Pan-Armenian Painting Contest and Animal Carnival were announced.
For SOS Culture youth club members it was the very first time, when they participated in this kind of events such as the 5th Pan-Armenian Painting Contest and Animal Carnival. For youth from the border regions these colourful events were not only very interesting but also extremely unusual.
"We have learnt how to make things from waste, we made new friends and got a chance to see what other club members do in their youth clubs and in their everyday life," said club member from Akhtala Vahe.
During the event a brief presentation about the activities of FPWC and about the contests were given. The prizes were handed over and as well as a short film on the 5th Pan-Armenian Painting Contest was screened.
Similar events are exciting both for children and their teachers. SOS Culture youth club members again expressed the desire to participate in all the FPWC events in 2013: "Although we live very far from the capital city, but as the FPWC founder Ruben Khachatryan said we are also a part of the "army of youth" and we are ready to preserve and protect our natural and cultural assets", said the Alaverdi youth club members.
