Biniskhevi Georgian Church

Biniskhevi Georgian Church in located in 5,5 km west from Shaumiani village, on the slope of forest-covered mountain, at the foothill opposite to Armenian complex (coordinates: 41.203213 44.415846).
The church represents big hall structure, built of large well-cut yellow tuff quadras, with entrance in the south façade and appendage in the east section of the north façade. The framing of altar window and entrance is decorated with twisted curving, which finds parallels in Georgian architectural monuments of XII-XIII c.c. The building was plastered and painted. There are small fragments in the altar apse. There is a ruined settlement around the church and old graveyard in some distance.
